Current Status

Currently in a TESTING setting. Changes to the server, infrastructure, and pages will be made without hesitation by the admins.

2/12/2015: MediaWiki has been successfully installed. 2/13/2015: VisualEditor has also been successfully installed. 2/14/2015: Working on extension issues, image issues, and server efficiency issues.

The current hardware that the server is running on is more than enough to support MediaWiki and its core functions. The current hardware that the server is running on meets the requirements to support VisualEditor and Parsoid. What this means to you: Avoid using the VisualEditor to make edits if you know how to use markup text. Also, don't play around with images too much (as in constantly resizing them, etc.). This causes unnecessary server load.

Policies, About, and other essential pages coming soon.

ETA before the transfer begins: 2/21/2015 Once the transfer begins, we'll enter a Beta period, where YOU (contributors) will edit the pages, and give me feedback on the response/latency/reaction/performance of the site as a whole.

Here's to everything working out! --Erina
