Girlfriend Kari Wiki
Contents
Welcome!
This is a English Wiki for the popular Japanese mobile game, Girlfriend Beta, also known as Girlfriend Kari (ガールフレンド(仮)). In this game, you get to collect cute cards of various girls.
In other words, this game is WAIFU SIMULATOR 9001.
The official site of the game is here: http://girlfriend-kari.jp/
Get started by going to vcard.ameba.jp, or download the mobile app! Note that although the game is "mobile," you can still play on a computer as long as you're using Google Chrome.
This wiki is currently in alpha and does not have much content. Most of our content can be found on our Wikia page for now, so why don't you check there?
Assuming that all goes well, this wiki will replace the old wikia.

Wiki/Server News
Currently in a TESTING (alpha) setting. Changes to the server, infrastructure, and pages will be made without hesitation by the admins.
The below lists the current changelog to the wiki:
- 2/12/2015: MediaWiki has been successfully installed.
- 2/13/2015: VisualEditor has also been successfully installed.
- 2/13/2015: Main Page has been changed to "Girlfriend Kari Wiki." This is the new main page.
- 2/14/2015: Logo and favicon have been added.
Future updates:
- Working on extension issues, image issues, and server efficiency issues.
- Consider adding extensions for further image reliability support (or as feasible due to constraints in memory)
- Policy pages are to be added, which summarizes the goals/policies/rules of this wiki.
- Pages on editing, image uploading rules, support, constraints, server issues, bugs, changelog, etc.
- An actual MAIN PAGE that isn't just filled with technical jargon that describes the current status of the site/server
- Technical jargon like this will be moved to a page like "status" or "updates" or something of the like.
- A new banner.
- Templates!
The wiki will be kept as open as possible to allow changes from all users. There will be some general rules on editing and image uploading to preserve the quality of the wiki and the server health as a whole. These will be listed in a different page in due time. Please note that any attempts to destroy data or server capabilities/functions will result in being blacklisted from the site.
Also, more admins will be necessary in the due future. Active contributors on the previous wikia are highly recommended to talk with me (Erina) if interested.
The future of this wiki is to become much more exhaustive and extensive than the current active Wikia. This means that information about the girls (their personalities, interests, statistics, etc.) as well as their available in-game cards will be added.
A few hardware notes:
- The current hardware that the server is running on is more than enough to support MediaWiki and its core functions.
- The current hardware that the server is running on meets the requirements to support VisualEditor and Parsoid.
- What this means to you: Avoid using the VisualEditor to make edits if you know how to use markup text. Also, don't play around with images too much (as in constantly resizing them, spamming them in various articles, etc.). This causes unnecessary server load.
ETA before the server becomes stable: 2/21/2015. After this date, the wiki will undergo a one month beta testing period, where all users are encouraged to edit, transfer, or contribute to the wiki. Users are also encouraged to give feedback on how well the wiki is working, including details like responsiveness, latency, lag, and other purposes.
In the off chance that the server is unable to support hosting Girlfriend Kari Wiki, there will be two options.
- Return to the GF Kari Wikia that we have been using thus far.
- Open donations and hope that they will sum up to ~$20/month.
At this point, I don't believe that any there will be any extreme, dire trouble in running this wiki. However, this is just a notice in the event that something bad does occur.
Here's to everything working out!
