Project:Editing
This page is to help you get started with editing.
Editing wikis are pretty straightforward. You're given two options at the top of most pages that belong to the Girlfriend Kari Namespace (i.e., pages that don't start with text and a colon like Project:Help, and Project:Editing). You can either "Edit" or "Edit Source."
Choosing Edit will load up the visual editor, where you can make changes to the article and its formatting in real-time. You can directly see any changes you make, "what you see is what you get."
Choosing "Edit Source" will load up the source editor, where you type the text and formatting you want into plain text by using MediaWiki's Wiki Markup Text feature. This is a bit more like programming and html writing, but a lot easier. For a guide on how to do this, visit Wikipedia's editing guidelines. If you want a quick introduction to Wiki Markup Text and how to use the basics, you can check out the tutorial on this site at Project:Wiki Markup Tutorial
Feel free to contact administrators or other users with questions if you have them! Also, be sure to read some of the policy pages before contributing (especially Project:Editing Policies and Project:Uploading Policies.
