Welcome to the help page for Girlfriend Kari! This help page generally deals with help and resources on how to edit and work with the functions available on this wiki. If you need help with playing the game itself, try checking out our Walkthrough Project or maybe our Questions page! Otherwise, read on!
Remember that for now, if you would like to edit articles on the wiki, you need to create an account and confirm your email. This is to prevent spambots from auto-creating unwanted content on this wiki. In order to create an account, you'll also need a password. The password is the name of Erina's favorite girl in the game. Visit this site for more information!
As a general overview, if you need help with editing and contributing, feel free to ask other people on the wiki for some quick tips and help. Editing pages on the wiki should be mostly straightforward. There are two options: Visual Editor or Source Editor. Visual Editor, while more server-intensive, allows for you to edit directly on the formatting of the article so you can see the changes you make in real-time. Source editor has you program into plain-text, meaning that you'll have to utilize Wikipedia's Wiki Markup Text in order to format your text properly. It's not that difficult, though, and is definitely more preferred than using Visual Editor.
Note that you can't use the visual editor if you aren't on the Girlfriend Kari namespace. This means that you can only use the source editor on pages with a colon before the title, such as "Project:Help," or "Template:Main." If you need to use the visual editor for pages like that, create the content in a Sandbox and then copy the source code over to the new page. Make sure to read the Project:Sandboxes beforehand!

For a more comprehensive guide, check out Wikipedia's reference guide. If you specifically need help with placing images in source editor, try visiting MediaWiki's help page.
As a general rule of thumb, make all edits to the text in the source editor. If you need to re-format parts of the page later or add images, feel free to use Visual Editor, as Visual Editor makes placing images and formatting text a lot easier. By following this general rule of thumb, you'll rarely run into trouble! Don't forget to properly use markup text to categorize articles or use templates if necessary, but don't worry if you don't know how: someone will do it for you if necessary!

Make sure to also read the Project:Editing Policies before making contributions! Although most of the policies in there are straightforward, it's nice to have read them beforehand. There is also the Project:Uploading Policies and Project:Content Policies that you should be aware of.
